ELAINE Address Management
ELAINE enables the administration of any number of subscribers in any number of categories. Subscribers are displayed in lists, the different categories are represented in a dynamic tree structure. Subscribers can be managed by means of automatic subscription and unsubscription procedures, through list imports or links to third party systems.
Profile Management
All subscribers can be assigned individual, freely definable profiles. Profiles consist of master data such as name and email, and freely definable personal data fields. These data fields can be created with different types and default settings in the editorial client. No technical knowledge is necessary. To simplify the selection process, virtual data fields can be created in the system, for example, for the virtual field "Age" which is calculated from the date of birth. In addition to the explicit profile attributes, ELAINE also displays implicit profile attributes, e.g. based on a subscriber's topical click and read performance or as an aggregated performance figure in the form of activity points. The respective performance model behind the activity points is configurable and depends on whether the openings of newsletters, the clicking on offers or subsequent attributes such as real sales display a subscriber as "active" for this specific objective. The implicit profile attributes can also be imported through definable business rules from external systems, e.g. from website tracking or shop systems. Scoring can be carried out under consideration of individual legal requirements (data privacy).
Automatic Subscriber Management
The subscriber management can be automated through freely definable subscription and unsubscription procedures. ELAINE supports the subscription and unsubscription via web forms, email or links. It offers form templates and a link generator for easy integration into existing websites.
Address Import, Export and Data Synchronisation
Subscriber lists can be imported and exported via .CSV. All imports are verifiably logged and can be reversed. During the import, duplicates are automatically rejected or their new data fields are amended. Alternatively, an automated data synchronisation with third party systems is also possible via the ELAINE data interface (data APIs).
Target Group Selection
The selection of subscriber segments (target groups) takes place via a multi-stage selection process (wizard) taking into consideration all profile data fields. All search profiles can be saved as dynamic segments in order to include new subscriptions with matching profiles automatically in the segment. In ELAINE, mailings can be compiled from freely definable articles. These articles can be administrated in individual categories and sorted according to any criteria.
Personalising and Individualising
ELAINE offers comprehensive and precise options for the personalisation and individualisation of emails, SMS messages and RSS feeds. In emails, all areas can be individualised according to customer profiles. In RSS feeds, different RSS items can be shown depending on the viewer. In addition, email, RSS items and SMS messages can be personalised with all profile details.
Personalising
In the context of personalising, all attributes of the subscriber profile can be used in the content or title, as well as in the subject line of mailings, e.g. for personal addressing or reference to certain attributes, such as recipient location or interests. Salutations can be freely defined in any language. If the salutation fields are not available, general fall-backs can be defined. In the case of SMS messages, the estimated size of the SMS is calculated in order not to exceed the maximum number of characters in an individual SMS with variable personalisation limits.
Individualisation
For individualisation, certain attributes of the subscriber profile can be allocated to any paragraph (article) as a condition, e.g. to display different contents according to region or field of interest in the respective mailing.
Couponing
For the linking of existing coupon codes, ELAINE comes with an import and administration feature. Coupon lists can be imported and automatically distributed to sent mailings without clashes. This also includes logging already used coupons.
Unsubscriptions and Blacklist
Subscribers who cancel their newsletter, will be temporarily saved in a separate sub-group in order to facilitate synchronisation with external databases or synchronisation during data imports (with manual use). In addition, addresses can be entered into a system-wide (client-wide) internal blacklist, which strictly prevents the sending of mailings to the respective address, independently from its subscription status or group affiliation and a possible address selection.
